This is a GO! Qube Replacement Die for the GO! Qube 12″ Companion Set-Angles. Replacement dies for GO! Qubes are packaged in shrink wrap and are intended to replace the original die in the GO! Qube box set.
Kite shapes add versatility to your quilt designs. The GO! Kite-Center-6″ Finished Square is a great way to lift your quilt pattern sky high. When used with your AccuQuilt Fabric Cutter, this die can cut up to six fabric layers at once and is 90% faster than cutting with a rotary blade. With all that time saved, you’ll be able to get to assembling and sewing your quilt even quicker. The die is compatible with the GO! Baby, GO!, GO! Big and even the Studio if used with its adapter. As an added bonus, there are specially designed corners that eliminate dog ears. This means less bulk at the points and simple, easy piecing. The die is sold separately here and is also part of the GO! Qube 12″ Companion Set-Angles, which expands the GO! Qube Mix & Match 12″ Set.
AQ Cutting Mat Required: GO! Cutting Mat, 10 in. x 10 in. (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm)
How to Die Cut 6″ Finished Kites:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
- Cut a 9″ strip across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 7″ widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut 5 kite centers across the width of fabric. One yard of 40″ wide fabric cuts 20 kite centers.

AccuQuilt Benefits:
- Cut so much more fabric in less time.
- Get accurate cuts every time — No slipping rulers or mistakes
- Easiest to use — Simply place die on cutter, then fabric and cutting mat on top
- Save fabric with Two Tone Foam — Get more out of your fabric by placing it only over the shape you want to cut.
- Safe to use — No blades come anywhere near your fingers
Die Tips:
- With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
- Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
- It’s always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
