Squares are the literal and figurative building blocks of quilting. The GO! Square 6 1/2″ die cuts cleanly through multiple layers of fabric and finishes to a 6″ square. Perfect for background squares, small applique blocks or checkerboard block layouts. One of the basic shapes in the AccuQuilt GO! Mix and Match System die collection, this 6 1/2″ square helps create typical 12″ finished patchwork quilt blocks. This die is used in blocks such as Flashing Windmill, Sawtooth Star and Ohio Star.

How to Die Cut 6 1/2″ Squares:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller.
- Cut 7″ strips across the width of fabric. Fanfold into 7″ widths. Place on selected blade and cut. Cut five squares across the width of fabric. One yard of 40″ wide fabric cuts 25 squares.

Die Tips:Â
- With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.Â
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.Â
- Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.Â
- It’s always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.Â

In order to be eligible for a refund your product must be unopened and in the same condition as when you received it. The item must be returned in its original packaging.
